Here I just wanted to provide information in this page about almost everything in and around this world irrespective of its nature. In this world in its Electronic Age, the person who has the most information with him, is considered One Up above the other. You may even get links of worth from some of my Friends Links. Ok Now about Me Hi, I am Ranga. I am from India and I live here at Madras(Chennai) in the State of Tamil Nadu. You can get more information about Tamilnadu in TIDCO's site. I studied in DRBCCC Higher Secondary School, Perambur and at DG Vaishnav College Arumbakkam. I completed my Post Graduation in Computer Application from the University of Madras. I am now working as a UNIX Systems Administrator in providing UNIX support consultancy on various types of UNIX running on systems like HP/9000, RS/6000, Sun Sparc, DEC Aplha, SGI's and also Linux & SCO Unix running on Intel systems. My career now spans accross more than half a Decade starting with a Government Organisation, the Registration Department of Tamil Nadu where I was performing the duties of System Analyst cum Programmer in the cadre of a Junior Assistant for a period of 4 years in co-ordination with NIC (National Informatics Centre) Tamil Nadu State Unit where you can find a lot of details related to India. Then I worked in DSQ Software Limited, Madras for a period of 1 year. Now I am working as a UNIX support consultant in USA providing consultancy to various companies in different areas of UNIX operations My interests are Web related development. Some of my passtimes are hearing Music, Watching TV, Chatting with my Friends. My hobbies are Collecting Stamps, Coins of different countries, reading, Writing short poems in Tamil. I enjoy Tanjore Paintings which is a very meticulous art form which is around 300 years old. A small collection from various sites is available here.
Home Page of Thinkman My first stint here was for a communication medium which can be global and at the same time effective for me to convey my messages to those who know me and to those whom I wanted to know who I am. A bit confusing isn’t it. Ok now to the facts. I wanted to put some of my personal details for employment which I can tell anyone around the world to just peep into and get the information. But I thought this just cannot be the only information that can be put on a Global Communication medium. So I thought I must be useful to the Internet family (world) in some way and whatever you see below is the resultant of that.
About the Nickname "Thinkman" When I entered the Software arena afresh I had apprehensions of whether I would be able to survive in this field for long. But once I entered and found the peoples around and the whole Computer Society a friendly I relaxed myself. One of the boon I found in this Society is the effective communication medium established via Computers which I have not felt to its real extent till I entered. Once into Internet I also came across the Internet Relay Chat (IRC) for which I needed an effective nickname to project myself amongst the crowd. First I tried "Willy" and it was an utter failure. Then I thought a lot and then came across this name from one of my friends who told that why don’t you have one of your strong personality trait as "Thinkman" nickname "Thinkman" and then now I have the nick 'Thinkman'.
